Climate Changemakers – Weekly on Wednesdays at 9:00 am or Thursdays at 5:00 pm

Volunteers engage one hour a week on climate solutions. Member/volunteers are an extremely sophisticated group of mostly 20 and 30 somethings. Many are in clean tech and have related degrees in climate.  http://www.climatechangemakers.org
1. JOIN
Show up to a weekly Hour of Action. We provide everything you need. Direct your time toward high-impact political actions. (No need for political experience to get involved.)
2. ACT
Raise awareness. Get attention. Fundraise. Build relationships. Our actions add up when we work together and build power for bold climate leadership.
3. REPEAT
The Climate Changemakers community shows up (for each other). We hold ourselves accountable and support one another. Taking action becomes a habit (and it feels pretty good).

Pledge to Teach Truth Day of Action MAC

This National call for action is being made by the Zinn education Project coordinated by Re-thinking Schools and Teaching for Change:. www.zinnedproject.org
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ZinnEducationProject

This is a Day of Action to raise awareness of the dangers of suppressing historical elements, such as racism.

Not acknowledging the country’s actual history, including racism and other oppression, is deception, not education. Teaching young people about centuries of resistance to that oppression is empowering. Resistance has always been multiracial, multiethnic, and built across lines of gender and class. Understanding this can be an incredible and powerful source of unity for all.
