Hands off Cuba

DEADLINE: Mar 31 • 5:00pm

We want the ill-conceived military action against Iran to end, but before we could possibly make that happen, Trump could be on to his next war. Let’s prevent that before it can start.  We have to move quickly to get Congress to act before Trump does. Contact your senators and representatives and let them know: Stop Trump from Attacking Cuba!

Why We Resist

Iran – The Unconstitutional War

Watch What Do Presidents Call a ‘War’?. Our reporter Charlie Savage describes the efforts by President Trump’s allies to avoid labeling the war in Iran as a war, and details how Congress came to shrug off its constitutional authority over war-making. Schrödinger’s War, they can’t agree on whether it’s a war, a mission, regime change, or self-defense. They don’t need to. They just need Congress to stay out. By the time House Speaker Mike Johnson stood in front of cameras on March 5 and announced that “We are not at war” and that the U.S. has “no intention of being at war,” here’s where things stood

Did Jared Kushner Negotiate Peace — or Set a Trap for Iran’s Leadership?

As Iran’s leaders gathered to debate a U.S.-brokered nuclear deal, American and Israeli intelligence already knew their location. Was this diplomacy, or something darker? We need to ask the question that official Washington is too timid, too compromised, or too captured by the moment’s war fever to ask: “Was Jared Kushner sitting across from Iranian negotiators in good faith? Or was he trying to get the Iranian leadership to meet together so Netanyahu could kill them all in one single decapitating strike?”

Pentagon Tells Congress First Week of Iran War Cost More Than $11.3 Billion

In a Capitol Hill briefing, officials gave their most comprehensive assessment of the cost of the first six days of the war, but the number omitted several aspects of the operation.

Even red states are defiantly rejecting DOJ’s demands for private voter data

Twelve states, all GOP-led, have complied with DOJ’s request.

At least eight states led by GOP election chiefs have so far refused the DOJ’s demands to hand over its unredacted voter rolls. State election chiefs from both parties are aligned in their concern over why the Trump administration wants state voter data — and what it ultimately plans to do with it.
